Anclam Park

Located on Lake Michigan along Highway 57 on the south end of town, Anclam Park is a wonderful place to bring the whole family or spend some contemplative time alone.

A picnic area with barbeque grills and picnic tables is nestled along the sand beach. Take a dip in the lake, have lunch, then walk it off with a stroll down the jetty for wonderful lake views. The jetty was once an 800-foot pier owned by John Anclam and used by the Hart and Hill Steamship Companies to load and unload supplies and ship timber in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. This is where the fireworks are lit off for the 4th of July celebration.

There is a small playground for the kids and you can keep an eye on them or watch the occasional wind surfer or kite boarder skimming across the harbor while resting on one of the many park benches provided.

For your convenience, there is plenty of parking, an informational kiosk, and a clean, accessible public rest room.
